Obviously, you good people of the CoG will wish to see  Our LORD And MASTER, SIR Our LORD And MASTER, SIR FROG perform! While many of these shows are at private events, there are some that are available for the general public to come along to!

Public shows generally consist of:

  • Archery stall - you can test your skill with a longbow or crossbow*

Weapon displays - the knights demonstrate the various (and surprising uses for different weapons, and what better way to do so that to use the audience as victims volunteers for most weapons?

Armour that you may try on - well, maybe not a full suit (as that takes at least 30 minutes to put on), but enough for you to get the idea. Posing for photos is also something that we are happy to do!

Also: Mr Hears and Jermery plan to be at one of more performances this year!

PUBLIC EVENTS

15th August: Crowmarsh village, Oxfordshire. Charity event - there may be a fee to enter. Archery all day as well as weapon demonstrations. It was a most wonderous day!

21st August: The Dog (Squire Bassett) Summer Charity Party, Kidlington, Oxfordshire. Charity event with all money going to Sobel House. Sobel House is a charitable organisation that helps terminally ill people and their carers by giving them respite care. The Fellowship will be running a have-a-go archery stall as 15th Century Household Archers. This event has been entirely cancelled by the organizers.

11th September: Hanborough Show, Oxfordshire. Have-A-Go archery throughout whole event, but the scheduled times for weapon demonstrations and Hears humiliation has now been confirmed as 2:30 and a repeat at 3:30. Hears, Adinanny and Jermery are all expected to be there - will you?

12th September: Wantage Heritage Day, Wantage, Oxfordshire. There will be a weapons demonstration at 11:30am and 3:30pm, but we will be roving the town centre harrassing passersby throughout. Event details are still under discussion.

24th April 2011: St. George's Faire, Cambridge. Details to be confirmed.

This list will be regularly updated.

*Depending upon the requirements of the organisers, there may be a charge for this. In addition, the crossbow may not always be available in accordance to UK Law.

If you agree to hold the target while Sir Our LORD And MASTER, SIR FROG practices his crossbow skills, I'd be willing to help pay for that trip...

I'll chip in if the target will be made of tissue paper.

I'll willfully pay when Redcleft himself is going to be the target.

I don't have any money though... Shamefully.

To me, the UK is still far out of my league, so I will only be able to witness these events telepathically... Frown

I should point out that the crossbow is accurate to 1.5 miles and is considered deadly at 800 metres - and that's the lightest crossbow I could get. It can happily punch through wood, clefts and brick (as happened once when I missed the target in by back garden).

Hmmm, I might not be able to do that. But if you paint a picture of Master Chief or Sean Connery on the target, I will demand a picture.

Please note that the event planned for the coming weekend at North Crawley (Buckinghamshire) has been postponed until 19th June. However, it appears that there will be more alcohol on site, and in addition there will be a banquet also!
